i wax my arm hair about every 6 weeks. I went to Sally's and invested in the little wax pot heater and I use Brazillian wax. I also bought the prewax oil. Once my wax is ready (the consistancy of honey) I rub in a few drops of the oil then spread on a 1x8 inch area of wax on my arm and allow it to harden (about 45 seconds) then pull it off. That will give you about 4 to 6 weeks of hair free results. I have noticed that since I started doing this a few years ago, my hair has begun to grow in softer and finer.
If you do not want to wax, then there is laser. I am getting that done on my chin and lip. It cost me $740 for a package of 5. I go every 6 weeks. I noticed about a 20% reduction in hair about 4 weeks after my first session. Your arms will probably cost around $1500 to $2000.
Another option in bleaching it....I do this for my 12 year old daughter who has black, thick hair on her arms (bless her heart). She is too scared to let me wax her. It works good as it totally turns it translucent/blonde. It is good for a few months.
