Don't know this particular drug but u want to compare the strengths, some prescription drugs are a lot different over the counter, some are pretty much exactly the same but sometimes they are cheaper or more expensive. Example- for me priolsec (generic) is cheaper as a prescription for the amount I take but the doctor said I could get it over the counter and I said I looked into it and the prescription is cheaper. Same with ranitidine (zantac) I can get a 3 month supply for $12 or higher doses cheaper than over the counter because I would have to take more pills at a time to get a higher dose. Also creams like hydrocortizone and athletes foot cream are sold over the counter in smaller amounts like 1% concentrations where the prescription version may be like 3% or more. So you have to compare the percentage on your prescription to that which is over the counter.
